Marion's National Night Out has been rescheduled for 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, on the front yard of Grant Middle School, 420 Presidential Drive.

It originally was planned for Aug. 6 but was postponed due to weather.

Safety forces from across Marion County, including the Marion Police Department and Marion County Sheriff's Office, will be represented at the free family event, which will feature games, bounce houses, emergency vehicles, music by Omega Kick, fireworks and a mascot dance off.

There also will be numerous business booths and food trucks, plus giveaways and free hotdogs.
