    These are the 11 top Class of 2025 high school football prospects in Massachusetts

    Want to get an early look at future college football stars from Massachusetts ? Start with some of the state's top high school football prospects in the Class of 2025.

    Ten of the state's top 11 prospects all attend either prep or catholic schools with one public school lineman mixed in. They are committed to schools as far flung as Wisconsin and as close as Boston College .

    Here's what to know about them, organized by their 247sports.com ranking:

    1. Hardy Watts, Dexter Southfield

    The four-star interior offensive lineman stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 290 pounds. He committed to Wisconsin, noted o-line factory, over national champion Michigan, Clemson, Alabama and hometown Boston College in July. MaxPreps ranks Dexter Southfield the No. 24 prep school team in the NEPSAC and No. 4 in Division B. Watts is rated as the No. 16 interior offensivel ineman in the country and a top-250 prospect nationally. "Quick get-off with point-of-attack strength through the hips and hands. Strong lower half and active feet yield consistent drive-blocking power. Displays ideal lateral movement ability with the functional athleticism to engage edge speed when required," 247sports.com national analyst Hudson Standish wrote . "Plays with great leverage and can naturally move defenders off of the line of scrimmage. High-floor offensive line prospect who could play early, but also possesses high-ceiling traits."

    2. Sampson Onuoha, Belmont Hill

    The three-star edge rusher is ranked No. 39 at his position and bound for Duke next fall. He picked the Blue Devils over Boston College, Buffalo, Cincinnati and UConn. Onuoha had five sacks in six games last year to go along with 35 tackles, nine of which went for a loss. He was an all-NEPSAC honorable mention. Onuoha's athleticism also stands out on the basketball court, where he represented Great Britain at the FIBA U-16 championships in 2022.

    3. Tommy Rupley, Belmont Hill

    The Acton resident is also part of the Belmont Hill to Duke pipeline as a three-star defensive lineman. He made 36 tackles in six games, seven for a loss. Rupley added two sacks and recovered a fumble. He also caught one pass for 18 yards. Rupley chose the Blue Devils over Virginia, Northwestern, Army and Boston College, all high-academic options.

    4. Micah Amedee, Xaverian Brothers

    The top-rated MIAA prospect is a defensive lineman is a three-star prospect originally from Brockton. He'll play at BC next season. Amedee won a state title with the Hawks last year and also ran on Xaverian's track and field team. He was named a second-team MIAA all-state lineman.

    5. Griffin Collins, Worcester Academy

    The three-star linebacker made 19 tackles last season with four interceptions. Collins will play at Boston College next season. He also had an offer from Syracuse.

    6. Mekhi Dodd, Catholic Memorial

    The third Boston College commit is a three-star running back ranked in the top 100 of his position nationally. The Knights reached the Division 2 state semifinals in 2023 . He chose the Eagles over UMass.

    7. Dominic Rijos, Springfield Central

    The top prospect out of Western Mass. is bound for Coastal Carolina. He's a three-star prospect that stands 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds. The only public school athlete on the list also wrestles. Rijos also had offers from FCS programs Albany, Bryant, New Hampshire and Stony Brook. The Eagles reached the Division 1 Elite Eight and fell by one point against eventual state champion Xaverian.

    8. Willem Thurber, Deerfield Academy

    The three-star tight end is headed to Virginia. He has great size at 6-foot-5 to go along with a 225-pound frame. The Cavaliers won out over Charlotte, Duke, James Madison and Dartmouth.

    9. Bo MacCormack, Buckingham Brown & Nichols

    The Westford resident was the NEPSAC Class A Player of the Year after scoring 31 touchdowns with 2,150 all-purpose yards. MacCormack also threw a touchdown pass and made an interception on defense. He had 40 carries for 431 yards and eight touchdowns in the John Papas Bowl win. The three-star running back will play at Syracuse. There was also interest from Army, BC, Buffalo and Charlotte.

    10. Cole Greer, Deerfield Academy

    The second three-star athlete from Deerfield who will become a Cavalier is a quarterback. Greer was an All-Northeast Prep second team selection. He also plays baseball. Greer additionally held offers from BC, UConn, UMass and Virginia Tech.

    11. Merrick Barlow, St. John's Prep

    The three-star tight end stands 6-foot-5 and will play at Navy next season. The Eagles reached the Division 1 state championship game last season. He also ran track and had offers from Air Force, Army, Brown and Columbia.
