Linsky wants to continue serving Natick and Wayland

In a previous interview, Linsky stressed the municipal projects he helped get funding for and said he wants to continue serving the two MetroWest communities.

"I want to continue to represent Natick and Wayland and deliver first-class public education and health care, a strong economy, and safe and supportive community for all," he said.

The veteran legislator said the amount of state aid to local schools has increased 500% during his 25 years at the State House.

Prior to being a state legislator, Linsky was a Town Meeting member for 14 years. Natick uses a representative Town Meeting, meaning members are elected. Linsky has also served as a conservation commissioner and as an assistant district attorney for Middlesex County.

    Natick sees nearly 40% turnout

Natick saw a roughly 40% voter turnout, as 10,286 of the town's 25,437 registered voters cast ballots on Tuesday. Wayland did not immediately provide voter turnout date, but 1,638 registered voters cast ballots in the Democratic primary.

With the primary behind him, Linsky is unopposed in the November general election; no Republicans are running for the seat.

Results are unofficial until certified by the Secretary of State's Office.
