Make some room, Friday Night Lights . Saturday games are showing their stuff in Week 3 . There are five weekend contests featuring area teams following a busy (as usual) 17-game Friday slate.

Just two games pit local squads against each other: Milford at Natick and Millis at Blackstone-Millville/Hopedale.

Five undefeated teams remain from MetroWest and the greater Milford area: Hudson at 3-0 and Medway, Millis, Tri-County and Wayland at 2-0.

Here are seven high school football games to watch in Week 3:

    Medway (2-0) at Falmouth (1-2), 6 p.m. Friday

The Mustangs can equal their win total from the past two seasons if they beat the Clippers on the road. Medway won just one game last season and two in 2022, but new coach Ted Rigney has put the pieces together early this season after two tight wins.

    Milford (2-1) at Natick (2-1), 6 p.m. Friday

Both red bird mascot teams are fresh off narrow victories. Milford continues its tour of the Bay State Conference after edging Wellesley 7-6 last week, while Natick bested Walpole 14-7. They both are ranked inside the state's top 20 teams by MaxPreps, as Milford is No. 19 followed by Natick at 20.

    Tri-County (3-0) at Southeastern Tech (0-2), 6:30 p.m.

The Cougars are playing their fourth road game in a row to open the season and are looking to match their best start since 2018. Tri-County prevailed 23-6 in last year's matchup.

    Duxbury (3-0) at Franklin (2-1), 7 p.m. Friday

The two-time state champions are coming to Pisini Field after going 26-1 in their last 27 games. The Dragons handled the Panthers 42-13 in Duxbury last year. Franklin has averaged 35.5 points per game in the past two weeks and is outscoring its opponents 85-14 since halftime of their season-opening loss against Central Catholic.

POLL: Vote for the Week 2 Football Player of the Week

    Holliston (1-1) at Milton (2-1), 7 p.m. Friday

Things don't get any easier for the Panthers. After a gutty win on the road over a fellow returning Division 4 playoff team at Middleborough last week, Holliston travels to defending Division 3 state champion Milton. The Wildcats won this game 42-14 last year in Holliston.

    Millis (2-0) at Blackstone-Millville/Hopedale (1-1), noon

Just 17 miles separate the schools. The Chargers won 21-0 a year ago in Millis. Millis has allowed just 14 points over its two games and outscored opponents by at least 20 points in each game.

    Walpole (1-2) at Wellesley (2-1), 6 p.m. Saturday

The Raiders opened the season with a Bay State Conference-Carey win over Framingham and will have their hands full with this crossover matchup. The Timberwolves reached the Division 3 Super Bowl last year . Walpole prevailed 30-14 a year ago.
