    Record breakers: Wednesday's Fantastic Five high school sports performances

    Get out the record books. Wednesday's Fantastic Five high school sports performances rewrote them. These top performers from September 25 made sure their teams left the field, court or course with a victory:

    John Bianchi, Natick boys cross country

    He took first at Elm Bank in 16 minutes, 21 seconds, as the Redhawks defeated Weymouth 23-33. Freddie van der Velden placed second (16:31) followed by Callum Doyle (16:32).

    Camille Boudreau, Dover-Sherborn girls cross country

    She set a new course record in a 17-43 win over Medway. The junior completed the 2.7-mile course in 19 minutes, 25 seconds for the Raiders (2-0).

    Lindsey Brown, Algonquin field hockey

    She poured in four goals with an assist in a 7-1 win over Grafton. Meredith Wu, Talia Piandes and Kathryn Jordan each scored once for the Titans (9-0).

    Stella Levey, Tri-County volleyball

    She slammed home 17 kills with three blocks in a 3-2 win over Southeastern Tech. Kaylee Guimond had six kills for the Cougars (3-4, 2-0 Mayflower) in the 25-20, 27-25, 19-25, 20-25, 15-12 win.

    Haley Wernig, Franklin field hockey

    She scored four goals, including a first quarter hat trick, in a 9-0 win over Milford. Raena Crandall added a hat trick and two assists for the Panthers (9-0, 8-0 Hockomock). Franklin's Caydence Canavan contributed two assists, while Addi Weiss (assist) and Ella Mazullo each found the net once.

    Parker Winn, Hopkinton golf

    He shot a 37 to snag medalist honors in a 252-267 win over Medway. The victory clinched a spot in the sectional tournament for the Hillers (7-2).

    Boys soccer

    WORCESTER NORTH 4, AMSA 3: Arya Sheth found the net twice for the Eagles (5-3-1), and Anton Richter added a goal.

    BLACKSTONE VALLEY TECH 1, Sutton 0: Mason Dorr stopped six shots for the Beavers (8-0) to earn the shutout. BVT's Matthew Drons scored the winner, and Jayden Quang added an assist.

    XAVERIAN 1, Natick 0

    Girls soccer

    NIPMUC 4, Hopedale 1: Kyah Montano had two goals and an assist for the Warriors (6-1, 6-0 Dual Valley), while Julia Ferrandino also fund the net twice. Josie Flemming scored once for the Blue Raiders (2-4, 1-4).

    SUTTON 8, Blackstone Valley Tech 2

    Field hockey

    HUDSON 1, Lunenburg 0: Amanda Perry converted a penalty corner with 3:17 remaining for the Hawks (4-2-3). Hudson's Rylie Nelson provided the assist.

    NATICK 3, Braintree 0: Gabby Pini had a goal and an assist for the Redhawks (7-0-2). Natick's Maddy Brenneman and Jolee Flynn also found the net.

    MARLBOROUGH 4, Westborough 3: Hailey DeVincent scored twice, including on a penalty corner as time ran out in the fourth quarter to win the game for the Panthers (5-3, 4-1 Mid-Wach B). Marlborough's Emerson Gaudette and Avery Horrigan (assist) added a goal each, while Kacie Horn contributed three assists. Natalie Gulbakian made 23 saves for the Panthers.  Kenzie Gage, Jillian Degnon and Maya Mazur each scored once for the Rangers (3-4-1, 1-3), who tied it at three with 3:22 left.

    LINCOLN-SUDBURY 4, Concord-Carlisle 1: Sabrina Tibbert found the net twice, while Ellie Innes added a goal and an assist for the Warriors (5-0-1). L-S' Ally Quinn contributed a goal, while Elise Cecere had an assist.

    Girls volleyball

    NIPMUC 3, Hopedale 1: Phoebe Carroll put down 16 kills with two blocks and an ace for the Blue Raiders (3-7, 2-4 Dual Valley), who fell 25-18, 25-12, 22-25, 25-22. Hopedale's Mia Casey added four kills and three aces, while Madison Buttonow had three kills, two blocks and an ace.

    HOPKINTON 3, Bellingham 2: Sophia Soto pulled up 22 digs with three aces for the Blackawks (8-1, 6-1 Tri-Valley League). in a 25-17, 18-25, 25-19, 24-26, 15-5 loss. Bellingham's Mia Milani had 11 kills and seven digs.

    AMSA 3, Main South 1: Katina Gakis pulled up 17 digs with four kills for the Eagles (4-6, 4-4 Colonial) in a 27-29, 25-15, 25-18, 25-18 win over Main South. AMSA"s Jenna Eagles added 16 digs and three aces, while Molly Hauri put down six kills and two blocks.

    BLACKSTONE VALLEY TECH 3, Worcester Tech 0: Nadia Shloul had nine kills and two aces for the Beavers (7-1) in a 25-14, 25-5, 25-16 victory. BVT's Fraceska Malo (eight assists) and Abigal Whittier (two kills) had six aces each. Sophia Bialock put down six kills for the Beavers.

    KEEFE TECH 3, Abby Kelley 0: Kyla Philton fired home six aces and two kills for the Broncos (5-6, 3-4 Colonial) in a  25-14, 25-10, 25-14 win. Keefe Tech's Sheila James contributed five kills, while Anna Almeda added four aces and three kills.

    ASSABET VALLEY 3, Monty Tech 1: Katie Taylor hammered 15 kills in a 25-24, 25-18, 21-24 and 27-25 win for Assabet  (7-3, 6-1 Colonial). Assabet's Chloe Cabral had seven assists and two aces.

    BURNCOAT 3, Marlborough 0: The Panthers (3-5) fell 25-22, 25-20, 25-23.

    WAYLAND 3, Bedford 0

    HOLLISTON 3, Millis 1

    Boys cross country

    HOPKINTON 17, Dedham 46: Stephen Leighton crossed the line first on his home course for the Hillers (2-0). Sean Finnegan and Cam Arnold followed for Hopkinton.

    DOVER SHERBORN 16, Medway 43: Grant Sullivan finished first for the Raiders (2-0) in 16 minutes, 23 seconds.

    FRANKLIN 20, Milford 39: The Panthers (3-0) secured seven of the top 10 spots led by Carli Walbert in first. Franklin's Fiona Morrison was second followed by Victoria Courtright-Lim in third.

    WEYMOUTH 18, Natick 45: Kailie Rader led the Redhawks (0-3) in third (20:30).

    HOPKINTON 15, Dedham 48: Elyse Srodawa picked up her second win in a row for the Hillers (2-0, 2-0 TVL). Brigid Cavanaugh, Meaghan Burdulis, Avery Sawyer and Chloe Tumbleton placed second through fifth, respectively.

    BRAINTREE 20, Framingham 41; BROOKLINE 21, Framingham 40

    NIPMUC 172, Doherty 213: Kylie Yoon won the medal for the Warriors (6-3) after shooting a 40 at Shining Rock Golf Course.

    OLD COLONY 7, Tri-County 2: Billy Zahner won his individual match for the Cougars (0-5-1, 0-5-1 Mayflower) to improve to 2-0 on the year.

    KEEFE TECH 162, Worcester Tech 197: Zeke Bogosian shot 39 at Southborough Country Club for the Broncos (2-7, 2-7 Colonial).

    MARLBOROUGH 31, AMSA 23: Jake Matros shot a 6-over 41 at Marlboro Country Club for the Panthers (3-7).

    HOPEDALE 162, Bellingham 168: Colin Haynes earned medalist honors with a 37, while Brady Wajda shot a 40 for the Blue Raiders at Hopedale Country Club.
