    Week 3 high school football schedule and results from MetroWest and greater Milford

    After three weeks, teams are starting to form a pack - and separate from it . The early start to the season was a boon to some programs and a hindrance for others. Nearly every team is in action once again in Week 3.

    We have 22 games spread across Friday and Saturday in MetroWest and the greater Milford area. Two feature two local teams: Milford at Natick and Millis at Blackstone-Millville/Hopedale.

    Friday, September 27

    ASHLAND 26, Apponequet 19

    DEDHAM 26, Bellingham 14

    HUDSON 28, Worcester South 0: Jake Attaway rushed for two touchdowns, including a 59-yard score to start the game, and found Savion Newton-Clark for a pair of touchdown passes as the visiting Hawks (4-0) blanked the Colonels (1-2).

    BRAINTREE 41, Framingham 12

    MEDWAY 14, Falmouth 6

    NATICK 28, Milford 7

    HOPKINTON 42, Newton South 14: Senior WR Nick Pedroli had four receiving TDs from classmate and QB Julian Rivard, junior RB/DB Josh Buentello had a rushing TD and an interceptions for a TD and junior Jonny Winslow was 6-6 on extra-points as the Hillers (1-2) earned a blowout win over the non-league Lions.

    Tri-County 8, Southeastern 2 (suspended due to electric issue)

    GRAFTON 49, Algonquin 14

    FRANKLIN 21, Duxbury 19

    MILTON 55, Holliston 28

    LINCOLN-SUDBURY 17, Brockton 14: Senior Sean Landry went 10-15 for 127 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown to junior Amari Thames, as the Warriors (1-2) got in the win column in Brockton. L-S went up 14-0 on a touchdown pass from junior Mason Tarantino to junior Dom DoCanto (7 catches, 97 yards TD). Marcus Cassel then kicked what would prove to the the winning points on a 37-yard field goal. Leading the L-S defense was senior Blake Wessel, who had an interception, and senior Charlie Barringer (fumble recovery). The L-S defense held the Boxers on their final drive when junior Ryan Cushing batted down a fourth-down pass attempt in the end zone.

    OAKMONT 27, Marlborough 23

    MAYNARD/AMSA 35, Auburn 21 : Dylan Gallo tossed four touchdown passes, including his second of the game to Kyle Letsky with two minutes left to seal the victory for the host Tigers (2-1) against the Rockets (1-2). Letsky also returned a fumble 95 yards for a score in the second quarter and teammates Alex Gwozdz and Niko Chaplain also caught touchdown passes.

    WAYLAND 49, Acton-Boxborough 0: Bucknell-bound senior Max Dresens ran for 221 yards and three TDs on nine carries while also collecting three tackles as the Warriors (3-0) rolled past A-B (0-3). Michael Caulfield (7 rushes, 61 yards, 2 TDs) and Brajae Walton (6 rushes, 38 yards, TD) also found the end zone, as did Bowen Morrison on a 20-yard interception return for a score.

    WESTBOROUGH 24, Tyngsborough 8: Brady Chapman and Tom Cashman caught touchdown passes from Andrew Pisciotta and Jake Martin added two sacks as the visiting Rangers (2-1) beat the Tigers (1-2). Dylan Fisher ran in a first-quarter score for Westborough, whose defense grabbed three interceptions on the night. Aryan Bhatia chipped in a 33-yard field goal for Westborough.

    Saturday, September 28

    MILLIS 19, Blackstone-Millville/Hopedale 7

    Out of the gates: MIAA fall 2024 power rankings for football, soccer, volleyball and field hockey

    WEST BOYLSTON 37, Assabet Valley 6 : Alexander St. Hilaire found Austin Allen for a 45-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to put Assabet (0-3) on the board.

    BLACKSTONE VALLEY TECH 42, Case 6

    NORTON 49, Nipmuc 7

    WELLESLEY 35, Walpole 28
