    Even on the days with no class, our Fantastic Five high school athletes played with it. They created goals in bunches and blazed a trail along the course. Here's the top performances from the weekend:

    Blaire Brennan , Lincoln-Sudbury field hockey

    She distributed three assists in a 5-2 win over Needham on Friday. Ellie Innes scored twice for the Warriors (8-0-2), while Sabrina Tibbert, Ally Quinn and Anna Leverone each found the net once. L-S' Eliana Krasnow and Emerson Aquaviva added an assist each.

    Annie Comella, Wellesley girls soccer

    She put away a hat trick in a 4-1 home win over Arlington on Friday.

    Katelyn Massey, AMSA girls cross country

    She broke the three-mile course record at Ghiloni Park, winning in 19 minutes, 33.33 seconds to help the Eagles defeat Assabet Valley and Marlborough 15-50 on Friday. AMSA placed nine of the top 11 runners. Asssabet's Mia Graffeo (21:47.1) finished fifth, and Marlborough's Yanira Uribe Rosa (28:26.2) took 11th.

    Mia Milani, Bellingham girls volleyball

    She slammed home 18 kills with three aces in a 3-1 win over Ashland on Friday. Val Nolan had 19 digs, six kills and five aces for the Blackhawks (11-2, 8-2 Tri-Valley League), wo prevailed 25-17, 19-25, 25-22, 25-18. Bellingham's Sophia SOto grabbed 20 digs with two aces. Siri Bachina led the Clockers (7-6, 5-5) with 14 kills, three aces and a block, while Emily Collins contributed four kills and two blocks.

    Zachary Ruthfield, Algonquin soccer

    He scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over St. John's (Shrewsbury) in the 20th minute Saturday for the Pioneers (8-2).

    NATICK 4, Dover-Sherborn 0: Lydia Proia, Olivia Penn, Cassidy Moriarty and Abby McCauley each scored once for the Redhawks (9-0).

    AMSA 4, Parker Charter 0: Celeste Meredith and Miliana MIlitovic each collected a goal and an assist, for the Eagles (6-3, 4-1 Colonial) on Friday. AMSA's Neha Gowthaman and Riley Whittier each scored once.

    NIPMUC 5, Medway 0: Abby Mullins connected on two goals and an assist for the Warriors (9-1) on Friday. Nipmuc's Kyah Montano also scored twice, while Anya Montano had one goal. Tatum Loftus earned the shutout.

    HOPKINTON 3, Brookline 0: Riley Colleran had two assists for the Hillers (11-0) on Saturday. Hopkinton's  Maddie Recupero, Mairin O’Connor and Natalie Prisco each scored once, and Nina Tzouganatous contributed an assist.

    Field hockey

    HOPEDALE 4, Blackstone Valley Tech 1: Emily Frohn scored twice for the Blue Raiders (5-5-1) on Friday, as they handed the Beavers (9-1-1) their first loss of the year. Hopedale's Layla Pessotti distributed two assists, while Lexi Carroll contributed a goal and an assist. Olivia Ingemi scored once for the Blue Raiders, while Charlotte Bacon added na assist. BVT's Kayla Chausse scored once.

    HUDSON 3, Tyngsboro 1: Emma Wood punched in two goals for the Hawks (6-4-3) on Friday. Hudson's Liv Connolly scored once, while Sophia Charbonneau contributed an assist.

    North Middlesex 2, Marlborough 2 : Emerson Gaudette and Kacie Horn scored once each for the Panthers (6-4-2, 4-2-2 Mid-Wach B) on Friday.

    BISHIP FEEHAN 4, Franklin 1: Maddie O'Brien scored first for the Panthers (11-1) on Saturday.

    MILLBURY 3, AMSA 0: Katina Gakis pulled up 22 digs with two kills for the Eagles (5-9) on Friday. Aysha Silva led AMSA with four kills and a block.

    HUDSON 3, North Middlesex 0: Olivia Scafidi grabbed 17 digs with three aces for the Hawks (5-8) on Friday. Jennifer Yates led Hudson with 15, ills, while Giada Colarullo added 11. Cami Andrade contributed eight digs and three aces for the Hawks.

    KEEFE TECH 3, Bethany Christian 2: Sheila Jane notched 12 kills and Kyla Bilton (six aces) and Anna Almeida added seven kills for the Broncos (7-7) on Friday in a  21-25, 25-12, 25-21, 25-27, 15-8 win.

    ALGONQUIN 3, Nashoba 0: Ella Poultney dished out 26 assists for the Titans (8-5) on Friday. Algonquin's Julianna Zimmer pulled up 13 digs, while Katy O'Connell added six blocks and six kills.

    Boys cross country

    AMSA 29, Marlborough 30: AMSA's Noah Krijer edged Marlborough's Anthony Del Vecchio in the battle of No. 6 runners, breaking the tie and giving the Eagles their third straight Ghiloni Cup over 3 miles at Ghiloni Park in Marlborough on Friday. The Panthers' Anbdrew Naim and Michale Antwi-Ayim placed 1-2.

    ASSABET VALLEY 123, St. Paul 126: Bryson Haley shot a 4-over 40 to lead Assabet (4-10) on Friday.
