    Big games all over: Wednesday's Fantastic Five high school sports performances

    Wednesday's Fantastic Five high school athletes got their teams over the hump. They ensured their squads picked up a victory.

    Find out who had the best performances from October 9:

    Emerson Acquaviva, Lincoln-Sudbury field hockey

    She distributed three assists in a 9-0 win over Wayland. Avery Acquaviva, Ellie Innes, Ally Tranter and Ally Quinn each scored twice for the Warriors, while Blaire Brennan had two assists. L-S' Emmy Channel found the net once, while Elise Cecere and Avery Cohen each contributed one assist.

    Siri Bachina, Ashland

    She hammered down 16 kills in a 3-0 win over Norwood. Isabelle Lai dropped in seven aces for the Clockers (8-7, 7-7 Tri-Valley League) in a 25-14, 25-13, 25-16 sweep.

    Blayke Barrows, Tri-County volleyball

    She dished out 25 assists and pulled up nine digs in a 3-0 win over Blue Hills. Kaylee Guimond and Stella Levey put down 10 kills each for the Cougars (6-6, 4-1 Mayflower) in the 25-9, 25-18, 25-19 victory. Tri-County's Alyssa Guimond grabbed 15 digs.

    Grant Mayer & Jai Moulton, Dover-Sherborn golf

    They both shot even par 32s to share the medal in a 210-269 win over Hopedale.

    Brooklyn McAllister, Hopedale girls soccer

    She fired in two goals in a 6-2 win over Blackstone-Millville. Josie Fleming contributed a goal and an assist for the Blue Raiders (4-6, 3-5 Dual Valley).

    AMSA 2, South 2: Duc-Tri Nguyen and Anton Richter (assist) each scored once for the Eagles (7-5-2).

    Girls soccer

    WACHUSETT 4, Westborough 3: Caroline Queenan scored twice for the Rangers (7-3-1, (4-2-1 in Mid-Wach A). Westborough's Lauren Klein also had a goal.

    Nipmuc 2, Douglas 2: Cate Tengler collected both goals in the first half for the Warriors (9-1-1, 5-1-1 Dual Valley).

    SOUTH 4, AMSA 1

    Field hockey

    BLACKSTONE VALLEY TECH 3, Pay Path 0: Emily Sullivan scored twice for the Beavers (10-1-1, 8-0 Colonial). BVT's Andi DiStefano picked up the shutout, while Madyson Voss found the net once.

    Nashoba 2, Algonquin 2: Lindsey Brown scored both goals for the Titans (13-0-1, 6-0-1 Mid-Wach A).

    NORTH MIDDLESEX 4, Westborough 2: Taylor Payne and Blair Fay had a goal each for the Rangers (4-6-2, 1-4-1 Mid-Wach B).

    WESTWOOD 3, Ashland 2

    NORWOOD 4, Hopkinton 1

    Girls volleyball

    HUDSON 3, Bay Path 0: Sydney Medeiros affected every facet of the game for the Hawks (7-8) with eight kills, six digs and five aces. Jennifer Yates led Hudson with 11 kills, while Liv Scafidi snagged 15 digs and two aces.

    BELLINGHAM 3, Millis 0: Jacobi Houston distributed 11 assists and seven digs for the Blackhawks (13-2, 10-2 TVL). Bellingham's Mia Milani added nine kills and nine aces.

    MONTY TECH 3, Blackstone Valley Tech 2

    NOTRE DAME ACADEMY 3, Assabet Valley 1
