Milford motorcycle accident claims life of Hopkinton man after Cedar Street crash

MILFORD - A Hopkinton man died Saturday after a motorcycle crash on Cedar Street near the onramp to Interstate-495, police said.

Police did not identify the 43-year-old man.

The Police and Fire departments went to the crash on Cedar Street (Route 85) at 4:33 p.m. after several calls about crash involving a motorcycle and a car, police said in a release. When they arrived, they found the motorcycle driver suffering from serious injuries.

He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center , where he was declared dead. The driver of the car was also taken to Milford Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

Police, in the release, said the man was thrown from his motorcycle and collided with a nearby rock formation.

The cause of the crash is not known and is being investigated by the Milford Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police .
