General Hospital fans rage 'nothing came' from baby storyline as they suggest alternative ending

Fans of the long-running soap opera General Hospital slammed the writers for how they dealt with a grieving storyline.

Last week, Kristina (Kate Mansi) was arguing with Ava (Maura West) when Ava reached for her, causing Kristina to stumble back and trip over a duffle bag before crashing out a three-story window into the Metro Court pool below. As she was eight and a half months pregnant, carrying the child for her sister Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and her partner TJ (Tajh Bellow), Kristina was rushed to the hospital to save her and her baby's life.

Tragically, the child didn't make it. The show on Wednesday touched on the issue, showing TJ and Molly dealing with the loss for a few minutes, but the focus of the episode was Sonny (Maurice Benard) learning his bipolar medications were placebo pills.

Fans of the show were quick remark that they felt Kristina's pregnancy storyline went nowhere and how the show focused on Sonny for most of the episode. "Not one f-----g thing came from this pregnancy storyline NOTHING! T.J. and Kristina didn't get too close and fall In Love with their baby! Molly, Kristina and TJ didn't have a custody battle. Literally, nothing came of this month's long s--t show & DEAD baby story!" one person passionately wrote on X, formally known as Twitter.

Another shared that there could have been more drama if the baby survived, commenting: "If they were looking for some sort of dramatic fallout, then #GH could have let the baby survive & have Kristina hemorrhaging to the point that she needed a hysterectomy, so she could never have her own kids. Then have her battle TJ/Molly for the baby."
