Amanda Bynes recently sported a new look .

The former actress was photographed walking on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles looking different on Tuesday, August 6. Her hair now dyed black, black eyebrows to match in contrast to the lighter locks she usually has. She wore a grey t-shirt, beige shorts and a floral patterned black bag with her fingers adorned in long silver acrylics. The look was completed with black and white Vans as well as mid-calf socks.

Her signature face tattoo with the heart appeared to be covered up by make-up as Amanda basked in the sun. But her other tattoos were on display such as rose on her forearm, a turquoise colored in triangle and Playboy bunny on the front of her lower leg.

This latest outing with the black hair debut comes as The Amanda Show star shared in March she was "going to start wearing wigs now" in Instagram Story. She explained that her hair was "growing out so awkwardly" after she buzzed it out in December 2023.

In April, Amanda who has since retired from acting, announced she was going back to manicurist school after she failed to acquire her license previously. The last film she was in was Easy A with Emma Stone in 2010.

"Since I haven't passed the board exam yet to get my manicurist license, I started back at school to study manicurist theory and to practice doing acrylics before I take the test again so I'll be good to go when I get a job at a nail salon," The 38 year-old said.

Back in October 2022, she first talked about wanting to become a manicurist and informed her followers at the time she was attending cosmetology school to study nail art. When she returned back in the public eye in her first public project in nearly a decade in December 2023 with a podcast with Paul Sieminski.

The podcast only had one episode when Amanda decided to put the audio series on pause. At the time she stated on TikTok the reason for the pause was they weren't able to get the guest she wanted like Jack Harlow, Drake or Post Malone. Although the first episode did "really well," Amanda ultimately choose to continue pursuing her dream of being a manicurist despite her friends encouragement to resume.

"The 1st episode of my podcast did really well," Amanda disclosed on her Instagram Story Dec. 21. "I was actually surprised and of course was going to keep going after friends encouraged me to."

"After thinking about it, though, I would rather get my manicurist license and have a consistent job," she continued. "I'm going to follow that path instead. Thank you for following my journey!"
