Taco Bell to open ‘early retirement community’ — and it’s already sold out

In just a few days, Taco Bell will host the grand opening of its early retirement community.

Called The Cantinas, the Mexican-inspired fast food chain will open an early retirement community for Taco Bell Rewards members . Opening weekend is August 17 and 18 in San Diego.

The community is only available to fans who are 21 years old and older. Weekend memberships with overnight accommodation are $150, while a day pass is $50.

A news release revealed all memberships sold out in three minutes.

Members will have access to amenities like dining options, pool, sound bath, pickball courts, a game room, shopping areas and a golf course. Those who get a weekend membership will have two days packed with activities, from Cantina’s Crochet Club to jewelry making.

There will also be Taco Bell prizes, merch and more available throughout the stay.

The Cantinas recently announced its board of directors, who will lead activities for members. The are influencer Joey Zauzig as “Director of Retiree Vibes,” influencer and comedian Terri Joe as “Live Más Bell(e)” and the TikTok group Retirement House as the “Slow Roaster Seniors.”

“We’re rewriting the script for life beyond Retirement! The six of us are living proof that, like a fine wine, life can get better with age. Retirement is anything but boring, it’s an opportunity to spend quality time with your loved ones and play every day,” the members of Retirement House said in the release.

“Excuse us as we live our best lives as the Slow Roasted Seniors on the Cantinas Board of Directors and show a new generation how to sit back, relax, and enjoy the good life with their best friends.”

To celebrate the release, Taco Bell Rewards Members can get a $0 delivery fee on orders made through the app from Aug. 15 to 18. They can also win a Cantinas pickleball set on the Tuesday Drops page of the app.
