Olympics fans all say same thing as Billie Eilish takes to the stage in Los Angeles

Billie Eilish's performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics certainly had fans talking.

Billie came out and performed her hit song Birds of a Feather with brother Finneas playing the guitar. She sang on a baby-blue Beach watchtower, wearing an oversized Ralph Lauren Team USA Olympic white polo and beige shorts with big numbers printed on them. She completed the look with a navy cap, sheer shades and thigh-high red and navy socks inside black shoes.

As the the 22-year-old was singing, Olympics fans accused her of lip syncing. One fan on X, formerly Twitter, said: "Why is Billie Eilish lip syncing right now"A second fan said: "Billie Eillish with one of the most obvious and worst lip syncing performances in a long time" A third said: "No way is Billie Eilish singing live... that mic is so far away from her mouth."

One fan on the other hand praised her performance: "Billie Eilish performance of Birds of a Feather was absolutely beautiful. You can hear the emotions she conveys in her music. She needs to sing again at the LA Opening Ceremony at the 2028 Olympics."

Before Billie performed, Grammy award-winning R&B singer H.E.R. sang the National Anthem as actor Tom Cruise leapt from the top of the stadium in a daredevil stunt.

It seemed like a scene from one of his Mission Impossible movies as he motorcycled away into a pretaped segment that led into Los Angeles. He parachuting down into the California city on to the iconic Hollywood sign that was decorated with Olympic rings.

As he journeyed with the Olympic flag he passed it off to Olympic cyclist Kate Courtney. The flag eventually made it Venice Beach where the Los Angeles performances took place with the help of Olympic sprinter Michael Johnson and Olympic skateboarder Jagger Eaton. The Red Hot Chili Peppers performed first in the series performances in the Los Angeles portion of the Closing Ceremony.

Los Angeles is the next host city to take on the Olympics in 2028. The Summer Olympics will take place from July 14, 2028 through August 27, 2028. The Paralympics will take place August 15, 2028 August 27, 2028. The 2028 Olympic Games will mark the third time the Games have been held in LA.
