In the latest update in the drama surrounding It Ends With Us, the cast seems to have turned their back on co-star and director Justin Baldoni.

The film, based on the novel by Colleen Hoover, has been surrounded with drama since its premiere. It started when Justin wasn't seen in press photos with other cast members. Then fans pieced together that some of the actors weren't following him on social media.

People also noticed the stark difference in how Justin and fellow lead actress Blake Lively approached the sensitive topic of domestic abuse that's portrayed in the film , with Justin outwardly talking about bringing awareness to breaking the cycle. During interviews, the cast has also skirted talking about Justin as well.

But according to one source, there's a lot more to the story that the public isn't aware of. "All is not what it seems," the source told PEOPLE .

"There is much more to this story. The principal cast and [author] Colleen Hoover will have nothing to do with him," they continued.

Reports seem to lean towards Justin creating an "extremely difficult" atmosphere on set. Page Six reports that Blake was criticized by Justin about her post-partum body and made to feel "uncomfortable," as she had recently given birth to her fourth child Olin.

On the other hand, other industry sources have stuck up for Justin, claiming he would never make anyone feel "unsupportive" on set. One theory behind the drama is Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds wanted more creative control behind the scenes.

Both Blake and Ryan were producers of the film. Ryan allegedly re-wrote a pivotal rooftop scene in the film without the screenwriter's knowledge.

Another theory about the drama is that it's all fake and done for PR purposes. Many cite the drama surrounding the 2022 film Don't Worry Darling cast as a possible model for this stunt.
