George Clooney has hit back at Quentin Tarantino, following some less-than-flattering comments the director made.

"Quentin said some sh-- about me recently, so I’m a little irritated by him," Clooney said.

"He did some interview where he was naming movie stars, and he was talking about [Brad], and somebody else, and then this guy goes, 'Well, what about George?'"

"He goes, he’s not a movie star. And then he literally said something like, 'Name me a movie since the millennium.' And I was like, ‘ Since the millennium? That’s kind of my whole f---ing career.'” he continued.

George then said "f--k off" comes to mind, when he thinks of the Pulp Fiction director, following his comments.

George and Quentin go way back. They first worked together when Quentin directed an episode of ER in 1995. ER was George's first major role and he played Dr. Douglas Ross on the medical drama.

Then the pair played brothers on the 1996 film From Dusk Till Dawn, which The Hateful Eight director wrote but did not direct. Robert Rodriguez directed the action horror film that also stared Salma Hayek and Danny Trejo.

This is not the first time George Clooney had something to say involving Quentin. In a viral interview that circulated in 2023 on social media, the 63-year-old does an impression of Quentin while talking about a previous MTV interview they did together to promote Dusk Till Dawn.

In the clip, George shared that Quentin said in the interview the reason they cast George in the film was because after watching ER, he thought the two of them looked like bothers. As George told the story, he reenacts his response by scrunching up his face and saying, “What?!”

George's most recent comments about the director came in GQ magazine 's September issue. Clooney graced the September issue in a joint cover with longtime friend and co-star Brad Pitt . The two are set to star in upcoming action comedy directed by Jon Watts called Wolfs coming out this fall (limited theater release on September 20 and September 27 on Apple TV).
