As of late it seems that every headline about the new movie It Ends With Us has to do with the rumored feud between Blake Lively and her co-star and director Justin Baldoni .
Photos of them seemingly engaging in a tense conversation while on set that surfaced this week, and video of them interacting behind-the-scenes don’t do a good job of disbanding the speculation. However, a source has said the aforementioned clip wasn’t exactly what it seemed. The clip, which was filmed in May 2023, captured the Gossip Girl star outside of a restaurant in Hoboken, New Jersey , appearing to be irritated with Justin.
At the time, he had on his director’s hat, and wasn’t acting with Blake for the scene, according to the source.

From the video, it looked like the two were not seeing eye-to-eye which could’ve been because of creative differences or possibly miscommunication. A source clarified to TMZ that Justin and Blake weren’t in the middle of the fight like it might’ve seemed. Actually, on that day, there wasn’t any drama.
According to the source who was on set, Blake and Justin were just talking in between takes. The source’s story seems to be corroborated by the way no one stormed off and remained standing beside each other. Another witness, who happened not to be involved with the movie, provided a different story, claiming that Blake was “often spotted in the area during filming, and rarely looked thrilled,” according to TMZ.
Many fans seem to believe that there is beef between Justin and Blake with their theories being fueled by multiple sources claiming that the leading man stirred up issues while filming.
Sources recently told Page Six that Justin created an "extremely difficult" atmosphere behind the scenes. Insiders near the situation have reported that the leading love interest and movie’s co-producer, which is Blake, was criticized about her post-partum body, making her feel “uncomfortable.”
Blake began filming shortly after giving birth to her fourth child Olin, whom she shares with her husband Ryan Reynolds. Although there are claims of Justin being difficult to work for, other industry sources who have worked with him claimed that he would never make one of his employees feel "unsupported" on a movie set.
"It’s not just Blake. None of the cast enjoyed working with Justin …They certainly didn’t talk to him at the premiere,” a source told Page Six. Some fans felt the reported coldness between Justin and the rest of the movie’s cast at the It Ends With Us movie premiere last week.
