Molly-Mae Hague opened up about parenting on her own in an admission shared with fans just days before it was announced that she's separated from Tommy Fury .

The content creator, 25, announced on Wednesday that she's split from boxer Tommy , also 25, whom she met when they both appeared on Love Island back in 2019. The former couple are parents to Bambi, one, together.

They had faced concerns about their relationship in recent months but recently celebrated their fifth anniversary. In footage shared last week, just days before their break-up was announced, Molly spoke about parenting on her own for a period.

In a vlog, Molly-Mae said: "I have managed to get 30 minutes in a whole week of 'me time'." She went on to share in the video: "I, to be honest with you, have been not feeling ... like, I mean this week has just been a lot of emotions."

She then explained that Tommy had been working on his audiobook, leaving her to take on much of the parenting duties for toddler Bambi. Molly-Mae said: "I know how hard that job is. [...] He's done it now and I'm so proud of him, because I know that was a really big deal to him."

"I have been solo parenting pretty much the entire week. Actually, I've been solo parenting for like, two weeks now, basically because Tommy's just been so busy. When he's home from doing work and stuff, he's so incredible and so helpful. I can't say any different, like, he's such an incredible dad, but I have been this week, like, just really... mum life has been mum life-ing."

Molly-Mae, who has been teasing an upcoming project in her career lately, added: "I just feel like at the minute I've been struggling a little bit, which is fine, I feel like with motherhood some stages are easier than others, and at the minute I feel like we're going through a little bit of a challenging phase. Not only with Bambi, but also just with me and trying to juggle a lot."

Announcing her separation from Tommy, Molly-Mae wrote in a statement shared on Wednesday: "Never in a million years did I ever think I'd have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end."

"I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority."

"I just want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it's right to share this with you all. Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks, please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time. I'll be back when it feels right."

The news comes just months after Molly-Mae gave an insight into the relationship in a QandA. One fan asked if her and Tommy - who had been the subject of split rumors, which they had both appeared to dismiss - had experienced relationship challenges since becoming parents. Molly-Mae responded by saying that Bambi had instead made the pair feel "closer," though suggested they sometimes "bickered" about other things.

The follower asked her: "Have you and Tommy faced relationship challenges since having Bambi?" Molly-Mae said in her response on Instagram at the time: "I think Bambi has made us closer. Any bickers we have are never actually about her! Parenting together, especially recently, has been amazing."

During the QandA back in June, Molly-Mae also looked ahead to the future when responding to a question about getting married. Asked if her wedding would be in 2025, she said: "It's looking that way." The response by her included some teary-eyed emojis and a crying emoji.

Molly-Mae had also teased at the time that she didn't plan on having another baby until after she's got married. Reacting to a question about the prospect of expanding the family, she said: "Not any time soon. Wedding first."

It wasn't the first time that she had given fans a glimpse into the relationship. Previously, as reported by OK! magazine, Molly-Mae had spoken about her romance with Tommy on the Diary of a CEO podcast in 2021. Molly-Mae shared that she felt positive about the future at the time but did reveal that they had a tendency to "argue" frequently but would always reconcile afterwards. She said: "I'm not going to sit here and say we don't argue like cat and dogs. We definitely do. He drives me crazy and I feel like I'm his manager sometimes."
