Ayesha Curry has spoken out on her experience at the Paris Olympics after she was involved in a tense altercation with French Police following her husband Steph Curry's gold medal win with Team USA.
Curry, 36, won Olympic gold in his first appearance at the Games and he stole the show in the final with France, putting up a sensational 24-point haul. However, after the game, Ayesha Curry was left in tears after an encounter with French police .
Footage posted by the Hollywood Fix showed Ayesha wiping away tears while her mother-in-law, Sonya, had a heated exchange with Paris police. Golden State Warriors star Curry 's mom could be heard yelling that someone touched the NBA star's baby, Caius Chai.
Curry's Warriors teammate Draymond Green was close by and leveled the same accusation as Sonya, claiming someone hit the baby boy's head. However, despite the drama with the Paris police, Ayesha Curry took to Instagram to speak positively about her experience at the Olympics.
"We had the best time celebrating and cheering on [Steph Curry] at the Olympics,” she wrote. The mom of four also shared loving photos of her son, Canon.
Warriors head coach Seve Kerr put together one of the best Olympic basketball rosters ever seen. Joining Curry were the likes of future Hall of Famers LeBron James and Kevin Durant. Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, and Joel Embiid were also at Kerr's disposal. Curry came up clutch on Team USA's run to gold and he left his former rival James in awe.
"You just marvel at his talent," James said. "Obviously, I've seen it before, you know, on the opposite side. But having him on your side, you just try to get stops and figure out other ways on the other end, but keep finding him, keep getting him the ball."
"The Devil named Curry is hurting us," a French commentator iconically proclaimed as Curry kept sinking threes. "I think every time you take to the floor and feel that energy, I don't ever take it for granted because it wasn't always like that," Curry said after the game.
"And that's what we play the games for, in a sense of fans being part of the journey, spending their hard-earned money on tickets and creating an atmosphere like we had tonight. I'll leave it to him to make that comparison but it is special with our accomplishments."
Curry will now return to the Warriors off the high of playing with the likes of James and Durant. Golden State's roster isn't in the best of shape, with the franchise failing to make the playoffs in 2023.
