Coldplay's Chris Martin and his fiancée actress Dakota Johnson were rumored to have called off their engagement after a seven-year-long relationship together after claims the pair were "drifting apart."
The long-time power couple were accused of calling it quits on their romance after a four-year-long engagement. While the the insider didn't explain the reasoning behind the breakdown of their love, a source told the Daily Mail that Chris has "now accepted the relationship is over - and it's best to move on."
And while the source claimed that their romance was over, Dakota's representative later cleared the air and informed TMZ that the rumors were false. The actresses' rep shut down the rumors as she told the news outlet that she and Chris are still "happily together" and she was just at her fiancé's concert two weeks ago cheering him on from the crowd.

Rumors ignited last week as the Fifty Shades of Grey actress was spotted without her engagement ring as she was going for a walk with her dog in Malibu, California. And while Dakota is back home, Chris is currently on the European leg of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres world tour.
Chris and Dakota have been a couple since 2017, three years after his divorce from his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow in 2014. The pair have kept their relationship extremely private from the public eye and have never walked the red carpet together. There were some rumors in 2019 that they split for several months, but this was never confirmed.
And while the pair were rarely snapped together other than on romantic getaways, Chris sweetly made his love for Dakota known in 2021 as he dedicated his song “universe” to Dakota during a Coldplay concert. And while both have remained tight-lipped about their romance, Dakota has openly spoken about how much she loves Chris' children.
Chris is a father of two including his 20-year-old daughter Apple and 18-year-old son Moses whom he welcomed with his ex Gwyneth during their decade-long marriage. And while Chris was previously married for 10 years, his ex and Dakota shared an unconventional healthy relationship together with Gwyneth even giving her blessing ahead of their engagement.
Speaking on her relationship with Chris' kids, Dakota told Bustle Magazine: “I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart. How do I feel about motherhood? I’m so open to that. I’ve gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything life has to offer."
She continued: "And especially being a woman, I’m like ‘What a magical f------ thing to do. What a crazy, magical, wild experience. If that’s meant to happen for me, I’m totally down for it. We’re not here for very long, so if I’m meant to be a mother, bring it on.”
