Manchester United's Premier League campaign begins on Friday with Erik ten Hag's team taking on Fulham at Old Trafford to raise the curtain on the new season.

It has been a summer of change for the Red Devils, with new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe taking sporting control of the club. While Ten Hag remains in situ, much has changed around him, with sweeping changes made to the structure behind the scenes.

The club has a new CEO, sporting director, technical director and head of recruitment as Ratcliffe vies to arrest the slide that saw United finish in eighth place last season – the club's worst performance in the Premier League era. But Fulham is not an easy opponent to start the campaign, with Marco Silva's side impressing last season and defeating United at Old Trafford. Here is all you need to know ahead of the game.

The game will begin at 3 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on USA, with live streaming available on Peacock. Viewers can also access coverage on platforms such as Fubo TV and YouTube TV with packages that include the USA network as part of their subscription.

Pregame coverage will begin at 2 p.m. ET, and Spanish language coverage will also be provided on Universo. NBC holds the broadcast rights for the entire Premier League season and every game will be broadcast on its platforms.

    Team news

United have made four additions in the transfer market this summer, with defenders Leny Yoro, Matthijs De Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui and attacker Joshua Zirkzee added to Ten Hag's squad. Yoro will be unavailable for Friday's game after suffering a broken bone in his foot, but the others are in line to make their debuts.

Striker Rasmus Hojlund will not play due to a hamstring injury, while left-backs Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are also unavailable. But Harry Maguire is fit after missing part of preseason due to an injury.

Silva's Fulham squad has a clean bill of health for Friday's game, with headline summer signing Emile Smith-Rowe set to make his competitive bow after signing from Arsenal. Impressive striker Rodrigo Muniz is in line to start in attack.

    Gary Neville joins NBC

United legend Gary Neville will be introduced to American viewers this season after joining the NBC crew. Neville has been the lead pundit for British broadcaster Sky Sports for more than a decade after an esteemed playing career at Old Trafford, and he has built a big reputation for his insightful and forthright analysis.

NBC and Sky are both owned by Comcast, and Neville will contribute to both platforms throughout the season, with the 49-year-old set to make his first appearance as part of the studio coverage on Friday. He will also be part of the team for Sunday's clash between Chelsea and Manchester City.

Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe, and Tim Howard are the other members of NBC's broadcast team for the 2024/25 season.
