Bebe Rexha has claimed that she was threatened for speaking Albanian at the airport .

She shared a video of herself sobbing on Instagram with mascara running down her cheeks. Bebe told her 11.9 million followers "the supervisor on this flight of Lufthansa is threatening me." An airline worker appeared to come closer to her before the singer told her "don't threaten me again."

In text over the video, she wrote: "I was threatened by Lufthansa because I thought the agent was Albanian. I spoke to him in Albanian, asking him where to get my ticket, and now he is stopping my flight."

Bebe tagged the airline in her posts, explaining the situation. She went on to brand the incident a "hate crime" because of her Albanian heritage. The pop star said: "He would not let me take his name. He continued to mentally abuse me to make me feel like he was more powerful than he was.

"Not one of the women at @Lufthansa stepped in or said something. He would not give me his name. But I just found out he works for ATSG a service company document control hired by Lufthansa."

A representative for Lufthansa told Metro : "We reached out to Bebe Rexha and are in direct contact with her to understand the situation. As an international airline, we connect people and countries around the globe.

"Our guests and employees come from all over the world. Diversity and equal opportunity are core values for our company and our corporate culture. We do not tolerate any discriminatory behaviour of any kind."

Fans were outraged by the treatment of their favorite star. One fan called for the airline to "investigate the male officer who threatened a woman" on their Instagram. Bebe reposted that cry onto her own story, as well.

A fan on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: "People need to give Bebe Rexha her respect, she's always being trrated with such disrespect for no reason whatsoever. This is just f----- up." Another said: "The plight of bebe rexha is getting extremely out of hand. whoever hexed her needs to reverse it fr."
