Matthew Perry 's friends and family visited the star's gravesite on what would have been his 55th birthday.

Matthew died in October due to a ketamine overdose. On August 15, five people were arrested in connection to Matthew 's death – two medical doctors Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez, Matthew's live-in assistant Kenneth Iwamasa and "various go-betweens" including Erik Flemming; and Jasveen Sangha who is known as "The Ketamine Queen."

The actor's funeral was held on November 3 in a private memorial service at the Forest Lawn Church of the Hills at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. New pictures of his gravesite show that it is still without a plaque with his name in his honor.

Friends and family of Matthew left flowers on the gravesite with a small "happy birthday" sign and and hand written note. Matthew would have turned 55-years-old on August 19. His step father broke his silence after suspects were arrested in connection to Matthew's death.

In a statement, he said: "We were and still are heartbroken by Matthew's death, but it has helped to know law enforcement has taken his case very seriously. We look forward to justice taking its course."

The Department of Justice held a press conference on August 15 where United States Attorney Martin Estrada shared more information about the arrests . Martin said that since the investigation started after Matthew's death, "a broad underground criminal network responsible for distributing large quantities of ketamine" was revealed.

He added: "These defendants took advantage of Mr. Perry's addiction issues to enrich themselves. They knew what they were doing was wrong. They knew what they were doing was risking great danger to Mr. Perry but they did it anyway."

Martin also revealed that the doctors supplied the ketamine and exchanged text messages wondering, "how much this moron [Perry] would pay."

According to a press release by the United States Attorney's Office: Central District of California , Salvador allegedly distributed ketamine to Matthew and Kenneth outside of his professional practice hours in "at least seven occasions." In October 2023, Salvador reportedly taught Kenneth how to inject the drug into the actor. Salvador allegedly injected ketamine to Matthew without the proper safety equipment inside a car parked in a Long Beach parking lot.
