Pop singer Chappell Roan didn't mince words as she went on a scathing rant on social media condemning "entitled" fans for "abuse, harassment, and stalking."

Chappell, aka Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, rose to stardom over the summer after her groundbreaking performance at Coachella . And as she is navigating her newfound level of fame, the young pop star has spoken out about the outrageous behavior she has encountered. In a series of TikTok videos , Chappell angrily fired off on overzealous fans and stood by her right to sometimes refuse to take photographs, physical touch, and conversations while she's out and about.

In one video, the Casual hitmaker was seen sitting in her bathroom make-up free as she lamented over the lack of respect from some of her fans. In the clip, the 26-year-old singer fumed: "I don’t care that abuse and harassment, stalking, whatever, is a normal thing to do to people who are famous or a little famous."

She continued, "I don’t care that it’s normal. I don’t care that this crazy type of behavior comes along with the job, [or] the career field I’ve chosen. That does not make it OK. That doesn’t make it normal."

She added: "That doesn’t mean I want it. Doesn’t mean that I like it. I don’t want whatever the f--- you think you’re supposed to be entitled to whenever you see a celebrity. I don't give a f--- if you think it’s selfish of me to say no for a photo or for your time, or for a hug."

Chappell concluded the video stating that this is not "normal behavior" and although she is a celebrity, she finds it "weird" that people act like they know her just because they connect with her art. She ended the video with the unapologetic message that she is "allowed to say no to creepy behavior."

And while many understood her concerns and rallied behind her right to privacy, others disagreed with the message with many claiming that these types of encounters are the price of fame. In a thread on X, formerly Twitter, one critic wrote: "'I’m a random b----. No, you’re not. You’re fighting with Taylor swift for the number one spot in the world on the charts right now. When you reach that status you no longer get to be a random person. So either stop chasing that dream now (that is within arms reach) or get used to the fact that you are now a star."

While someone else added: "She doesn’t know being famous comes with lots of sacrifices?" And a third wrote: "So a fan asking to take a pic is harassment now? Lmao." While someone else chimed in: "Welcome to being famous. That’s the downside of having a net worth in the millions. Seems like a fair trade to me idk."
