Madonna, 66, looks frail amid breaking promise and outraging locals with $40k Pompeii birthday

Madonna is enjoying her vacation in Italy.

She was recently photographed visiting Italy's paragon of pre-Roman and Medieval architecture called Terracina Alta in Terracina with her rumored new boyfriend Akeem Morris and twin daughters Stella and Estere. They had arrived on her yacht and also enjoyed a fine Italian dinner at seafood restaurant Al Giardino.

They were seen in Terracina at the ancient Roman theatre and the Capitolium in a private tour. In the photos of them walking around, the legendary pop artist was holding hands with Akeem wearing a colorful headscarf, a black lace dressed that hit above the calf and a matching lace cape. She wore black pointy toe-shoes and also had on black shades in some photos. The singer looked tired, as her mouth was opening seeming as if she was gasping for air in one photo.

Akeem wore a matching set of button-down printed shirt with postcards and pants. He had on a tan checkered hat and multiple gold chains adorned his neck. The soccer player, who is 38 her junior, have sparked dating rumors after she split from 30-year-old boxer. Madonna hasn't confirmed their romance, but she has shared a series of snaps of Akeem. One of the snaps on Instagram had the caption: "Hot Fun in The Summer Time."

Madonna just celebrated her 66th birthday in Italy which could explain the worn-out expression. The lavish party was held in a Roman amphitheater in Pompeii with Akeem and her six children: Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 24, David, 18, Mercy, 18, Stella and Estere, 11. Madonna shared shots of her of the event and their elaborate dinner at the Teatro Grande,

The Material Girl rented out the historical theater for $40,000 and the party was reportedly more intimate that originally planned. The festivities lasted until 2 a.m despite claims that she wasn't intending to throw a bash there. In a translated press release , Pompeii officials wrote: "Regarding the rumors circulating in the press these days about a 'mega-party' of an international celebrity with 500 guests in the excavations of Pompeii, as well as about an alleged rent of $40,000 for the Large Theatre, the Archaeological Park specifies that these are unfounded reports."

The general secretary of Italia Nostra Michele Campisi was dismayed to here hear the expensive celebration.

"Thirty thousand Euros is absurd. It’s like giving Pompeii away," said Campisi, "Why does Madonna need to go to Pompeii? Is there not a more beautiful beach she could use?"

Madonna also celebrated her son Rocco's birthday which is five days before her. She threw another party for his 24th birthday. She surprised the painter with a massive tiramisu cake. She shares Rocco with ex-husband and director Guy Ritchie.
