Insider reveals the REAL reasons JLo and Ben Affleck split, including why actor was 'impossible to be married to'

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially called it quits .

The singer and actress filed legal divorce documents on Tuesday, August 20, in a Los Angeles County Superior Court and listed April 26, 2024, for when the couple separated. Jennifer filed the same the her and Ben would've celebrated their second wedding anniversary.

Days before the filing, Jennifer was seen visiting Ben at his rented house in California on his 52nd birthday. She also took his son, Samuel, back to school shopping. This comes as a shock since he was not spotted at Jennifer's 55th birthday Bridgerton themed party at The Hamptons.

An insider told the Daily Mail : "He was impossible to be married to. Friends think he is selfish, sullen, impossible to please most of the time and negative. She was constantly trying to lift his spirits, boost him up – it was exhausting." They continued: "He is a loudmouth, loves to hear himself talk and blusters on. She was a great audience, mostly she hung onto his every word, but she is not as young and impressionable as she used to be."

The insider added: "The negativity was overwhelming in the end, she could not lift him any more."

The two first starting dating in 2002 and then split in 2004. During that time apart, the two married other people and had children . Jennifer shares twins, Emme and Max, 16, with her ex-husband and salsa icon Marc Anthony. Ben shares three children, Samuel, 12, Seraphina, 15, and Violet, 18, with ex-wife and actress Jennifer Garner.

They rekindled their love in July 2021 and got married a year later in 2022 in Las Vegas. Jennifer and Ben then celebrated in Georgia with an extravagant wedding ceremony with family and friends.

The Gigli stars divorce news does not come to a shock since there was speculation that the two were no longer together for some times.
