Twisters actor Glen Powell looks unrecognizable as he wears prosthetic nose and wig for new Hulu series, Chad Powers

Glen Powell doesn't quite look like himself these days.

The actor was photographed on set for his new show Chad Powers on August 21. Glen was seen sporting a shaggy, floppy blond wig that falls to the neck, and a prosthetic nose. He was dressed in a blue Nike shirt with yellow shorts, a matching blue Nike arm sleeve and carry a black duffel bag. The Twisters star also looked rounder in the face with a thin mustache to complete the look.

Glen is currently filming in Atlanta for a Hulu comedy, which is a show about an American college football quarterback, Russ Holliday (Glen), who gets thrown off the team for bad behavior. He finds another opportunity to still play by disguising himself as a new player Chad Powers. The show is being co-created and executive produced by Glen and screenwriter Michael Waldron.

Chad Powers is based off of a character retired New York Giants star player Eli Manning created for fun to go uncover and tryout for Penn State University's football team back in 2022 as part of his ESPN+ Eli’s Places series. He underwent a physical transformation with prosthetics and a dirty blond wig.

Since playing Chad, many fans have demanded to see more of the character and hoped for a show which now they are in luck for. While Eli is not coming back as the titular character, he is teaming up Glen and Michael to bring the half-hour comedy series to life. Omaha Productions (the production company founded by his brother Peyton Manning) and ESPN will also serve as executive producers along with the former Giants quarterback, himself.

“The love for Chad Powers has surprised me in spectacular ways,” Eli said in a statement in February 2024. “I played 16 years in the NFL, but now when I’m in a restaurant or walking through an airport, it’s not uncommon for fans to scream, ‘Hey Chad!’ I’m so excited to team up with my friends Glen Powell, Michael Waldron and Omaha Productions to continue to tell the Chad Powers story and see what he does next.”

Glen shared he is working on studying the original Chad himself when he talked with him on the The Eli Manning Show on May 23. In response to Eli's joke about not being sure if he like Glen playing Chad because he's Chad, Glen said that he's not trying to "outdo" Eli and he's going to try to honor his legacy. He also added that he was studying Eli's football style.

The 35-year-old also recently provided fans with a sneak peek from the Atlanta set by posting to his Instagram Story on August 20 with the words: GAME ON." The photo was a clapperboard that was grass green with the Chad Powers on it.
