The Epic Games store has launched on mobile devices , giving players the opportunity to indulge in the company's most-popular hits— Fortnite , Rocket League Sideswipe, Fall Guys and more.

The store is available on Android worldwide but IOS is available only in the European Union. Gamers have presumably experienced Fortnite and Rocket League from their phones, but Fall Guys has never before been introduced as a mobile game. Developers at Epic underscored the store will provide the full game, meaning no half-baked arcade game.

The optimization may still be anyone's guess but progress is progress. For those who don't know, Fall Guys is another hit title from Epic Games that took the world storm in August 2020.

The competitive platforming game pits about 150 players against each other in a series of races rife with traps and obstacles. The objective is to get to the finish line as soon as possible to "qualify" for the next race. Each race cuts the population in half, i.e the first 150 gets split into 75 qualifiers. The game is free on the Epic Games Store but you'll need a Playstation Plus subscription to actually play.

The cheapest subscription will set you back $10. The company also emphasized how players can jump into the game anytime, anywhere and play with anyone across the globe, toting the cross-play compatibility with PC, console and mobile. Don't worry, cross-progression is available as well.

The fun doesn't stop there. In an attempt to promote its new platform, the company is offering a string of rewards to players who download the store, download a game from that store and complete in-game challenges. When it comes to video game challenges, developers don't expect you to perform pro-gamer maneuvers. In fact, they may just give you free stuff for logging in consistently.

These will reward players with free cosmetics across Epic's three popular games. They include a brand new Fortnite outfit and matching back bling, pickaxe and wrap; a brand new Fall Guys bean costume; a Fall Guys-themed pickaxe usable in Fortnite; and a gold vehicle trim that can be used immediately in Fortnite and Rocket League Sideswipe, and soon in Rocket League. Quests and challenges are visible on all platforms but can only be completed in-game on a mobile device.

Taking a jab at competitors, Epic accused Apple and Google of sending its mobile store into obscurity in an attempt to hinder downloads. This can't be confirmed but big tech conglomerates have tendencies to hobble competitors, so it can't be debunked either. Anyway, Epic has crafted a how-to video, detailing how players can get the store on their phone.
