Amanda Balionis has revealed the six things she’s grateful for during a trip to New York after covering her final golf event of the year.

The CBS reporter announced she had reported on her final golf event of the year in a goodbye post earlier this month. Balionis has become one of the most recognizable golf broadcasters but she will be taking a break from the sport ahead of a role on a different sideline in the coming weeks.

Balionis is set to return to the NFL for the new season, which begins in two weeks. It appears that she opted to spend some time in New York with friends as she headed back to the city where she graduated from Hofstra University.

Balionis took to Instagram to show how she’s been enjoying downtime in New York between her final golf event of the year and the start of the new NFL season. She posted a collection of selfies and snaps of her out in New York with friends as well as pictures of the concrete jungle skyline and establishments she visited.

Captioning the montage, she wrote: “And so concludes my summer in New York. The city that shaped me in my 20’s, fortified me all these years later. Grateful for: All of the adventures with old friends and new. Dive bars. Endless wandering and discovering. Soup dumplings. A renewed desire to create both personally and professionally. Bodega coffee. Knowing I can always return to a city that fills my soul and feels like home”.

Balionis has previously worked on the NFL and college football as a sideline reporter grabbing exclusives with players and coaches as the coverage panned to her speaking about tactics and analysis mid-game. Her role in the NFL and golf go hand in hand with her covering golf during the summer and football during the winter.

She posted a touching message thanking golf for her memories and adventures during the 2024 season . Balionis added a montage of her reporting and talking to golf stars and friends on the network along with the caption: "This year had it all. From historic moments to heart-shattering events and every other emotion you can imagine in between.

“I love this game. I love working in sports. Competing at the highest level requires and produces constant examples of inspiration, drama, unbridled joy, resilience, growth and teamwork.

"It's an honor to be a very small part of a tremendous team that brings these moments and stories to life each weekend. If we left you with one new favorite player, or one memorable moment you shared with loved ones than we have done our jobs. Catch ya on the NFL sidelines until next season!"
