Jasveen Sangha, 41, is among five individuals arrested in connection with Perry's death . The actor, famous for his role as Chandler on Friends from 1994 to 2004, died on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54.

His death was attributed to the "acute effects" of ketamine after he was found in the hot tub of his $6million mansion in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles. According to plea agreement documents signed by Erik Fleming , Sangha referred to Perry using the name of a well-known character he portrayed on TV.

Dr Plasencia is charged with seven counts of distribution of ketamine and two counts of altering and falsifying documents or records related to the federal investigation. He has pleaded not guilty.

It's believed that Matthew handed over approximately $55,000 in cash to the doctors shortly before his death. US Attorney Martin Estrada remarked on the pair while disclosing the findings of an extensive investigation into the actor's death: "These defendants cared more about profiting off of Mr Perry than caring for his well-being.

"Matthew Perry's journey began with unscrupulous doctors who abused their position of trust because they saw him as a payday, to street dealers who gave him ketamine in unmarked vials."
