    Glee star Lea Michele welcomes second child sharing name and first photo of baby

    Lea Michele has just welcomed her second child into the world.

    The Glee alum posted a photo on Instagram, announcing the news on Sunday, August 25. The photo was of the newborn baby covered in a floral blanket, wearing a pink onesie as the hands of Lea, her husband Zandy Reich and their firstborn Ever Leo touched and held the little one's leg and feet.

    The TV star captioned the photo, including the her newborn daughter's name: "Our hearts are so full. Emery Sol Reich."

    The couple first announced they were expecting their second child in March of this year. On Mother's Day, the actress took to social media to disclose the sex of the child. She wrote along with a photo of herself holding a bouquet of flowers and cradling her baby bump: "The most beautiful Mother’s Day today, holding my son who made me a mama … and carrying my daughter."

    They first were romantically linked in 2017 and had been friends before they dated. The fashion businessman proposed to Lea in 2018 and they married in March 2019 in a intimate ceremony in Napa. Glee creator Ryan Murphy officiated their wedding. Then in August 2020, the welcome their first born and son, Ever.

    The 37-year-old has been candid about the pregnancy process which has been a tough one for her as well as having polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She talked to Katherine Schwarzenegger on her Before, During & After Baby Instagram Live series in 2021 about her fertility issues with her first pregnancy. She called it a "very, very intense, very scary pregnancy.”

    During her pregnancy with her first child, she shared how she was fearful she would miscarry especially since she bleed heavily throughout her first trimester. She ended up taking a high dose of progesterone to help her body maintain the pregnancy and stayed on bed rest. Lea also revealed that after having Ever, she had "two back-to-back very early failed pregnancies."

    PCOS is condition caused by the imbalance of hormones specifically reproductive hormones. Lea was diagnosed at age 30 and revealed condition 2019 in Health Magazine. Some of the symptoms irregular periods, severe acne, and weight gain according to the Mayo Clinic . Her PCOS lead to struggles with conceiving which is common among people with PCOS per the Office on Women’s Health .
