A clever shopper has just spilled the beans on a genius hack to bypass those pesky self-checkout queues.

Chatting on X, the savvy customer shared their secret to avoiding the long waits at Target .

" Went to Target tonight ," the shrewd shopper started, pointing out the store's scant checkout choices .

"One cashier, only two self-checkouts working. Long lines."

The shopper then revealed their winning move: "Went to the snack bar self-checkout which had no line, and bought $150 worth of goods, no wait," humorously quipping that "Management going to be like damn, that's a fine performing snack bar! ", reports the Irish Star .

This nifty trick comes as a solution to many customers' frustrations over the slow-moving self-service lanes.

Despite Target's recent efforts to transform their self-checkout areas into express lanes for those with 10 items or less, grumbles about sluggish service and insufficient cashiers are still heard loud and clear.
