Matthew Perry was obsessed with Batman and dubbed the assistant who gave his final doses of ketamine Alfred, according to reports .

Channeling his inner superhero, Perry embraced the nickname Mattman in what would become his last Instagram post. The Friends star died on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54 due to the acute effects of ketamine.

Perry's live-in assistant Kenneth Iwamasa is one of five defendants charged in relation to the actor's death. Reports suggest Iwamasa was given a special nickname by Perry in honor of the butler in the Batman series.

Iwamasa was known as "Alfred to Perry's Batman", according to the Daily Mail . Iwamasa has admitted in court documents obtained by The Mirror US that he injected Perry with three doses of ketamine in his final hours.

He made the confession in a set of plea agreement papers he signed following his arrest along with four others arrested in connection to Perry's death. Documents indicate that non-medically qualified Iwamasa administered these shots starting from 8.30am on the day Perry died.

Records describe that following the initial dose, Matthew received two more; one four hours later and another just forty minutes after the second. Before receiving his final injection, Perry asked Iwamasa to "shoot me up with a big one."

Iwamasa has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death. Eric Fleming, an acquaintance of Perry's, has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death.

Jasveen Sangha, dubbed "the ketamine queen", is charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamaine, one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute ketamine, and five counts of distribution of ketamine. She has pleaded not guilty.

Dr Mark Chavez has agreed to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine. Dr Plasencia is charged with seven counts of distribution of ketamine and two counts of altering and falsifying documents or records related to the federal investigation. He has pleaded not guilty.
