Kate Middleton and Prince William's travel plans 'on hold' as she continues cancer treatment

Kate Middleton and Prince William have plenty of cherished memories from across the globe, but it seems their future travel plans have been put on hold .

The couple have spent plenty of time in places like Scotland where their love story began, Jordan which holds childhood memories for Kate, and Africa, a place with profound sentimental significance to them both. Speculation has been mounting around the possibility of the couple showing their children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis - the splendors of Africa.

"Africa is magical. End of story. It is entirely natural for William to want to take his young family to see the wonders of the wildlife and wilderness of Africa before it is too late," royal expert Jennie Bond said.

However, even as excitement grows for the prospective journey, Jennie said the couple must consider Kate's cancer treatment. She said: "There's no way William will take the kids there without Kate, so it may be a while before they can enjoy this experience as a family as she focuses on her treatment."

Speaking to OK! magazine , she added: "To see the wonder on the children's faces when they see lions and rhinos and giraffes is a moment no parent should miss." Jennie noted that William is teaching his children the importance of conservation and helping others, a value he learned from Princess Diana.

"Diana passed on valuable life lessons to her sons and they have stuck with them. William has said he points out people in need to his children, such as homeless people sleeping rough and takes pains to explain that it is their duty to try to help," she said.

Jennie's comments come after Tusk Trust CEO Charlie Mayhew told People magazine about William's keenness to acquaint his three children with Africa at the earliest opportunity. Charlie expressed his admiration for the Prince of Wales, commenting: "He is very knowledgeable and passionate about conservation and the environment."

He added: "He has a particular love for Africa. He has been incredibly supportive as our patron and proactive in supporting us. We find ourselves incredibly lucky." Anticipating a future meeting with William in South Africa, Charlie said: "I think it won't be long before, you know, he will want to introduce them to Africa."

The connections between the Prince and Princess of Wales and Africa are deep. William not only engages in extensive conservation activities there via Tusk Trust but also experienced an intimate life event on the continent - his proposal to Kate took place in Kenya in 2010.
