Blake Lively has found herself in a river of hot water amid the release of her new movie, It Ends With Us .

The Gossip Girl actress , who is married to Ryan Reynolds, has received a ton of backlash over her promotion of the film, which also stars Justin Baldoni, who directed the feature.

Blake who starred in and produced the film, has been accused by some of minimizing the movie's message, which depicts an abusive relationship, and is based on Colleen Hoover's book.

37-year-old Blake has been seen on red carpets for various premieres of the movie, at some points posing for snaps with husband Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who have just finished promoting their new movie, Deadpool and Wolverine.'

Blake also shared a photo of herself promoting her Betty Buzz alcohol brand in a flower-making workshop, inspired by the movie, which many fans called inappropriate on Instagram.

The stunning actress has also been accused of attempting to turn the movie into a rom-com, despite its serious message. This allegedly led to tension between herself and Justin, who has not posed for a single photo with Blake on the red carpet yet.

In a now-viral interview clip, he also suggested Blake should direct the sequel when asked if he'd be up for returning to the directing helm, which only further ignited rumors of discord amongst the cast.

Many fans however has said that Blake has been unfairly criticized over the film, with calls to "cancel" her being unjust.

She has been seen being supported by famous pals such as Taylor Swift, who hosted Blake a birthday bash in Rhode Island, alongside Kansas City Chiefs star boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

And now her sister Robyn Lively, who is also an actress, has stepped in to show her support for the star, in the wake of the backlash.

Robyn shared a birthday post to her sister on Instagram, with the caption: "That's my bday queen right there! I love this girl, my sister, my best friend, my little piggy back buddy! You are one of the best humans I know. HAPPY birthday sissy britches!"

Fans rushed to the comments section of the sweet post, with one writing: ""Blake is a lovely human being!

"I hope she knows that the multitudes of people who love her is so much greater than the negative voices," the fan continued, before adding, "Happy Birthday Blake!!"

According to TooFab, the support didn't go unnoticed by Blake's sis, who responded back: "Thank you for this," seemingly appreciative that someone else sees Blake in the same positive light that she does.
