Taco Bell combines two favorite menu items to create new fan-favorite

Taco Bell combined two of its most popular menu items to create a new dish .

The Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupa, a take on its popular chalupa with a Mexican street taco feel, is being tested among customers in Houston, Texas .

The chalupa shells are smaller than traditional street tacos and are toasted with Cheddar cheese. Customers can choose between Cantina Slow-Roasted Chicken or grilled steak for a filling.

Each chalupa is then topped with fresh cilantro, onions, shredded cheese and Chile Lime Crema Sauce. The new Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupas range between $4.99 and $5.99.

The new menu item is a combination of the Cheesy Street Chalupa and the Crunchwrap SupremeToasted Cheddar Street Chalupas.
