Ben Affleck breaks silence on Kathleen Kennedy romance rumors amid Jennifer Lopez divorce

Ben Affleck has denied claims he's dating Robert F. Kennedy Jr's daughter following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

J.Lo filed for divorce from her husband last week and people quickly became convinced Ben was already jumping back into dating. The actor was said to have been hanging out with Kathleen 'Kick' Kennedy, leaving many to believe the pair were dating.

They were reported to have been spotted hanging out at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. A source had claimed they were getting to know each other but said there is "nothing there yet".

The source also insisted J.Lo and Ben had separated before he started hanging out with Kick. However, a representative for the actor has now hit back at the romance rumors.

"There is no truth to any of it. I don't know if they even know each other," a representative for the actor told People magazine . The comments come after a source had claimed: "They are both taking it day by day but so far, she is enjoying spending time with him."

Speaking to the Daily Mail , they added: "They hang out at Beverly Hills Hotel because it offers a level of privacy to celebs that nowhere else does." The rumors started after J.Lo filed for divorce from her husband after two years of marriage.

The 55-year-old singer is said to have found it "incredibly difficult" to end her marriage. "It’s been incredibly difficult for her that Ben chose to pull away from their marriage and move on with his life, leaving her behind," a source said.

They added: "She didn't want a divorce. She wanted to figure things out. They love each other. Jennifer is not the type to just give up. It's been almost torture for her to wait around."

Speaking to People Magazine, the source said J.Lo's feelings have changed since she filed for divorce and she now "seems relieved" after submitting the paperwork. Her family and friends are said to have rallied around and are surrounding the singer in "love and support".
