Kaos has just landed on Netflix and it features a star-studded cast led by Jeff Goldblum . The Jurassic Park actor takes on the role of Zeus, the King of the Gods, in the Greek mythology series.

However, when he discovers a wrinkle on his forehead, he becomes convinced that his downfall is imminent. Fearing the end is near, he triggers a disastrous chain of events that could potentially lead to the apocalypse.

Zeus, known for his selfishness, impatience, and arrogance, is not a popular figure, especially among humans on Earth. A few brave mortals even dare to defy him, setting in motion a plan to overthrow Zeus once and for all.

Goldblum, also known for his role in Independence Day, shines in this latest performance. However, the role was not originally intended for him. Hugh Grant was cast as Zeus when the project was first approved, reports the Express .

Grant, famous for his charming and vulnerable roles in romantic films like Bridget Jones's Diary and Love Actually, was announced to join the cast alongside Janet McTeer and David Thewlis in June 2022. However, a month later, it was revealed that he had withdrawn from the project.

Goldblum stepped into the role of Zeus after Grant had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts.

The series was created by Charlie Covell, who expressed disbelief back in June 2022 when Grant agreed to participate.

Covell said: "I believe I'm still in shock at the news that Hugh Grant has agreed to play Zeus - this was my dream.

"He's leading a stupendous cast of actors and we're extremely honored to have them all on board. I can't wait for filming to begin."

Since then, Hugh has been on a roll with his busy schedule, marking the release of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. His momentum didn't stop there as the following year, he appeared in Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, and Wonka.
