A$AP Rocky announces previously scrapped ‘Tailor Swif’ song after leaks cause delays

Rapper A$AP Rocky announced a new song drop after shading his own fans.

He posted a clip on TikTok which revealed that he will be dropping a new song called "Tailor Swif" at midnight which seems to reference pop sensation Taylor Swift . The song isn't necessarily anything new as the star previously rapped it at a July 2022 performance at Rolling Loud Portugal. The visuals for the song leaked just days later, something that ASAP Rocky is very aware of, writing on X, formerly known as Twitter : "SINCE U DUMMIES LEAKED IT ALREADY."

ASAP, also known as Flack Jody II, previously indicated that he wasn't interested in dropping the track after it was leaked. For Flacko, he no longer found the song special, but seems to have had a change of heart recently.

He told Apple Music in August: “It’s very important and special if it makes it on the album. Most of the songs that I usually perform and s–t like that, m---haf–k-s leak it. And once it’s leaked, it’s just like, ‘Nah, it’s not on the project.” … I might perform it here or there, but it’s leaked. It is what it is. It’s out already.”

If he chooses to keep the official lyrics the same as his performance, the main reference to the pop princess occurs in the chorus. A$AP raps: "I'm too swift, don't tell Taylor about this s--- (Swift, yeah) / I'm too swift, now don't tell Taylor 'bout this s---."

As for the meaning of the song, most of the lyrics are sexual in nature, including a line where A$AP says, "I just f---ed this feminist." He additionally details graphic sexual acts, but not ones that necessarily have anything to do with the pop star.

The rapper previously blamed the ongoing leaks for the delay of his fourth album, Don't Be Dumb. "I wanna make the best album ever. I'm sorry for the wait, he apologized on Twitter, formerly known as X. Plus, he commented on "sample clearances" being another culprit in slowing down his album release process.

The Mirror contacted representatives for Taylor Swift and A$AP Rocky for comment.
