C.J. Stroud outlines 'terrible' aspect of Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is friends with Micah Parsons - but he believes the Dallas Cowboys superstar and budding podcaster has “terrible takes” .

Last year, Parsons started to cause waves around the NFL and entertainment world by speaking out on his podcast, “The Edge”. The 25-year-old pass-rusher was so successful as a podcaster, he will not only be continuing it this 2024 NFL season but will be promoted to executive level at Bleacher Report.

Back in May, Parsons took on the role of president of Bleacher Report’s Gridiron division, which focuses on the company’s football creative content. However, in an interview with Boardroom , Stroud took aim at Parsons for his colorful opinions and declared it was a key weakness of his.

“He has terrible takes,” the Texans sophomore quarterback said. “But also, he's a great friend of mine. I have nothing but great things to say of him other than his takes.”

In an episode in September, Parsons discussed Travis Kelce ’s relationship with Taylor Swift as their budding romance became the story of the season. He boldly encouraged NFL stars to chase romances with high-profile women, including Zendaya - despite her long-term relationship with actor Tom Holland.

Then, after the Cowboys lost 31-10 to the Buffalo Bills in December, Parsons hit out at NFL TV analysts and claimed they root for the iconic NFC East franchise to fall short. He declared: “Former players are waiting for other current players to fail, so that way they can have something to talk about.

“It’s not even to just get into names. I mean, I feel like, at this point, you kind of know who you are. And it’s like why do you want a person to lose so bad? It just seems a lot of people are just waiting for people to fail.”

Parsons continued to spew hot takes on a mic in the postseason, too. Ahead of the wild-card playoff round, Parsons attempted to predict the six winners and went 2-4, including predicting his Cowboys defeat the Green Bay Packers only to fall 48-32 at home.

Parsons has insisted his podcast won't be a distraction to his team and claimed he doesn't try to be controversial with what he says. Speaking to reporters earlier this month, Parsons said: “I don't think no one really cares about what I'm doing on a Monday afternoon when I'm at home with my kids.

“So, why would they care if I'm on Xbox? I think we all get our own free time. When y'all away from here, are y'all thinking about me at home? I would hope not. I try not to say (anything) controversial, but everyone always is gonna be drawn to something. They're going to try to take one thing. We all have opinions. We're not going to agree to what everyone says. That's life.”
