Actress Leah Remini and her husband have called it quits after 21 years of marriage.

Leah announced on Thursday that she and her fellow actor hubby, Angelo Pagán, were divorcing after being together for 28 years, and married for 21 of them. The King of Queens star revealed that she put a lot of thought into their mutual decision to end their relationship, and upon contemplation they both realized they had changed as people. Since they've both grown in different directions, neither of them want to keep playing roles that don't fit their new identity.

Even though they're divorcing, Leah says that her and Angelo's bond is still strong and they will continue to remain "friendly," according to TMZ.

Leah and Angel first met in 1996, jumping the broom after a few years in 2003. Jennifer Lopez's best friend is disclosing that she and Angel are splitting because of how public their marriage was in the past, according to TMZ. The two had a TLC reality show together as well as filmed as husband and wife for VH1 specials. Within the last year, a lot has happened in Leah's life.

In 2023, Leah filed a lawsuit against the Church of Scientology as she claimed defamation, intimidation, psychological torture, and more.

"For 17 years, Scientology and David Miscavige have subjected me to what I believe to be psychological torture, defamation, surveillance, harassment, and intimidation, significantly impacting my life and career," she said in a press statement that was released in August 2023. "I believe I am not the first person targeted by Scientology and its operations, but I intend to be the last."

David Miscavige was the church leader, taking over the role from founder L. Ron Hubbard when the latter died in 1986. Leah was brought into the religion in 1970 when she was a child, but then left the church in 2013.

According to the release, she filed the lawsuit in the California Superior Court in an attempt to "require Scientology, and any entity it controls and funds, to cease and desist its alleged practice of harassment, defamation, and other unlawful conduct against anyone who Scientology has labeled as an 'enemy'".

There are many celebrities who are a part of the Church of Scientology, including Tom Cruise, John Travolta, and Handmaid's Tale actress Elisabeth Moss. Other celebrities have left the church, such as Lisa Marie Presley, Jeffrey Tambor, and others.
