Bryson DeChambeau has revealed his dramatic body transformation after slimming down 18lbs in just under a month following a major change in his diet.

The LIV Golf man has enjoyed a bumper year after earning the second major prize of his career in the form of the U.S. Open . Doubling his haul at the event after his previous success back in 2020, the former world No. 4 also finished as the runner-up at the PGA Championship in May.

Now, the 30-year-old has opened up on the secrets behind his performances this year as he provided details of modifications to his lifestyle. Describing how he has completely overhauled how he fuels his body off the course, DeChambeau's contentment with his conditioning is clear.

Previous reports had claimed that the two-time major victor had been consuming as many as 6,000 calories during the Covid-19 pandemic. This consisted of four eggs, five pieces of bacon, toast and two protein shakes for breakfast, followed by a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a GoMacro bar, two more protein shakes for lunch and dinner made up of steak and potatoes, alongside more protein shakes.

Having weighed 240lbs during that period, DeChambeau has now changed his approach and immediately saw results as he lost 18lbs in 24 days. Enjoying one of the most fruitful seasons of his career so far, the American now weighs between an estimated 210 and 215lbs.

Discussing his diet, the LIV Golf star bravely said to Golf Week : "You can say I was fat. It's okay. Ultimately, I'm always going to see things through. If I believe in something, I'm going to see it through to the end. If there was anything that didn't work, I will take that out of the picture, which I have.

"There are things that didn't work, obviously, and I'm now down to a weight where I feel like I can sustain this for the rest of my life and just continue to get incrementally stronger over the course of time because I do feel stronger than I was when I was at the height of my weight gain.'

Expressing his glee at finding the right balance that works for him in terms of his diet and training, he continued: "I figured it out. I'm now in a place where I'm super comfortable, and I continue to get a little bit stronger, albeit I'm not speed training every day, I'm not going at it every day."

He added: "I still have that speed inherently in me, and whenever I want to, I can get to 205 ball speed within 15 balls. That reserve is still there. It's just I don't push it very often because I don't want to injure or hurt anything, and it takes a while to get to those speeds consistently. Again, my focus is transition to winning tournaments and being competitive in major championships and winning them."
