A young woman's desperate final moments were heartbreakingly caught on a Ring camera as she was brutally shot to death outside an Atlanta home.

In the tragic events of Tuesday night, August 20, Atlanta Police Officers rushed to the scene of a shooting on Springside Drive where they discovered 32-year-old Courtney Reese suffering from multiple gunshot wounds . She died later at the hospital.

A harrowing 27-second clip from a Ring security camera has been circulating social media that shows Reese pleading with her killer. She screamed, "Please. I don't..." before the assailant raised their hands and fired at close range.

The attacker unleashed over ten shots, continuing even after Reese fell to the ground, then fled the scene down the driveway.

The video depicts a tall individual clad in all white, with a hooded sweatshirt, approaching Reese, who was standing outside a residence, before raising his hand with the gun in it. The scene unfolds quickly, and the video lasts seconds.

Reese was a mother who left behind four children, ages 13, 9, 6, and 11.

Murder suspect Derek Rankins was found dead on Tuesday after a standoff with authorities. He was 16-years-old. The standoff occurred on Linden Lane, close to Swan Lake Road and Gardner Road, where U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force officers were attempting to apprehend Rankins for the murder of Reese.

The incident occurred when a large crowd had gathered at a home for a family member's repast. Police reports indicate that shots were fired from several houses down the street, hitting McCord, who was among the crowd.

She was quickly rushed to the hospital but sadly succumbed to her injuries.

To cover Courtney Reese's funeral expenses, the family has initiated an online fundraising campaign . The tragedy is compounded by the fact that Reese's sister was also killed in a shooting just a few months ago in Dekalb County.

Her sister, 29-year-old Sametria Edwards-McCord, was shot on May 24 in the 2000 block of Chestnut Hill Circle in Decatur. She worked as a nurse at Grady Hospital.

Anyone with information regarding either of these shootings is urged to contact Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS(8477) or submit anonymous information via the online form at www.crimestoppersatlanta.org .

Providing the crucial information needed to solve the case could result in a reward of up to $2,000 for the informant.
