A terrifying moment unfolded at a Connecticut concert when rapper Fatman Scoop suddenly collapsed on stage.

The 53-year-old famous rapper , known for his hit Be Faithful, was attempting to climb a platform during his performance in Hamden on Friday night when he visibly struggled and then fell out of sight , causing the audience to erupt in panic.

As cries of alarm filled the venue, people rushed to his aid, desperately trying to resuscitate him.

Hamden Mayor Lauren Garett later confirmed that Fatman Scoop, born Isaac Freeman III, was transported to a hospital by ambulance. She asked the public to keep him in their thoughts and prayers during this uncertain time.

Emergency services arrived on the scene around 8:33 p.m., quickly placing him on a stretcher and taking him away for medical attention.
