Arne Slot's first transfer window at Liverpool has been a low-key one, with the Reds only making two new signings.

Goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili and winger Federico Chiesa joining the club, but only Chiesa will feature for Liverpool this season following his cut-price move from Juventus. The forward is hoping to get back to his best at Anfield and has signed a four-year deal.

Liverpool are confident a serious ACL injury he suffered in 2022 will not be an issue and Slot will look to manage Chiesa's minutes carefully. The 26-year-old is understood to have rejected more lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia in order to join Liverpool.

Mamardashvili has joined from Valencia, but will remain with the LaLiga club on loan for the rest of the season. The 23-year-old is viewed as the long-term successor for Alisson, who was linked with an exit this summer.

In terms of outgoings, Liverpool have cashed in on a number of young players. Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg were both sold to Brentford, while Red Bull Salzburg signed Bobby Clark.

Salzburg have also signed Stefan Bajcetic on a season-long loan as he looks to continue his development after recovering from a serious muscle injury, while Calvin Ramsay and Luke Chambers have both joined Wigan on loan.
