With every passing superstar performance, I ndiana Fever (16-16) superstar Caitlin Clark is earning herself even more worldwide attention.

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has been a longtime admirer of Clark 's game dating back to her time at the University of Iowa.

Clark had a career day on Friday against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, pouring in a career-best 31 points on 8/14 shooting to go along with 12 assists in a 100-81 blowout victory . The Fever guard was +23 when she was on the floor.

Her strong showing prompted James to tweet “Caitlin Clark!!!! Hi Haters” to his 53 million followers on X.

Clark and the Fever have been on an absolute heater recently, winning five of six since the WNBA resumed post-Olympics to help Indiana climb to sixth in the standings.

She's been far from the only one contributing to the team's success, as Kelsey Mitchell impressed 23 points on a tidy 9/13 from the field.

Mitchell has scored 20 points or more in each of the Fever's six games since the Olympic break. The Fever have reached .500 for the first time since they were 0-0 at the start of the 2024 campaign.

James isn't the only NBA player to have showered Clark in praise during her historic year. The Indiana Fever phenom has a share of stars in the NBA.

“That’s the woman Steph Curry," said Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic about Clark back in April. "She can shoot it better than me." For reference, Doncic averaged 33.9 points per game last year.

Curry himself weighed in on the compariso n: “I think it almost robs her of, like, the rest of her game, because she’s such a good floor, you know, she has her overall, you know, floor game, she’s racking up, you know, close to triple-doubles every night."

Even Barstool CEO Dave Portnoy , who has a $100,000 wager on the Fever to win the 2024 WNBA title , weighed in on Clark's heroics with a series of tweets throughout the game. "This pass is outrageous #caitlinclark #FeverRising," he said at one point.“Step on their throats #FeverRising", he added. “We cooking out here #caitlinclark #FeverRising."

Clark seemed focused in her postgame press conference . “Minus the first six minutes of the game, I thought we were really good. We played sound defense.

“I’m just proud of this group. I thought we battled and we didn’t let it get close at the end and that was kind of the problem last time we were here. We let them come back, we know they’re a really good fourth-quarter team, but we battled and figured it out.”
