A plane has crashed into a house in Fairview, Oregon , according to multiple reports.

According to eyewitness reports on X, formally known as Twitter , the residential neighborhood has caught fire after a plane crash. Some reports claim the plane crashed into a multi-residential building.

Firefighters are allegedly on the scene. An X user shared a video of the building on fire with orange flames reaching the sky and grey smoke.

Others have shared photos of the smoke against the backdrop of the cloudless blue sky, with one person writing that "lots of customers now without power." In a ring video posted on Twitter, the crash seemed to have been caught on camera, with smoke rising in the air on the left side of the video almost out of frame.

The twin Cessna 421C plane crashed near Troutdale Airport around 10:30am local time. "We do not yet know how many people were on board. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate," said the Federal Aviation Administration in a statement.

Fairview doesn't have its own fire and emergency services, so the neighboring town of Gresham's fire department provides help. Besides Fairview, Gresham provides help to the towns of Troutdale, Wood Village, and areas of unincorporated Multnomah County.

The Mirror has reached out to the Gresham Fire and Emergency Services. The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to KATU in Oregon that the fire is being investigated.

Besides Gresham's Fire Department, Portland Fire, Portland Airport Fire, and the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office are at the scene. It's unknown if there are any injuries, but thousands are reportedly without power. According to the Portland General Electric Outage map , over 12,000 people are left without power.

Details are scarce, so it's unclear where the plane was going. No deaths have been confirmed, but allegedly two people have died according to X It's also reported that there are various homes on fire.

Earlier this month, flames were seen outside the Soho House Chicago hotel. The fire was ruled to be an electrical one, breaking out at around four in the morning on August 14.

A news helicopter caught footage of the flames that extended up to ten feet in the air. The fire appeared to originate from a manhole cover on the street.
