Fans have one question for Adam Sandler about his newest 'unwatchable' Netflix special

Adam Sandler is known for his comedy films from Happy Gilmore to Grown Ups, but his latest Netflix special left fans confused.

His newest Netflix stand-up special, "Love You," dropped on the streaming service on August 27. In typical Adam Sandler fashion, the star takes the stage in the flick wearing a dressed-down look of brown Nike sweatpants, sneakers, and a tye-dye shirt under a fleece navy zip-up jacket.

While his previous Netflix special "100% Fresh" had viewers laughing when it premiered in 2018, this 74-minute special flopped with fans. Not because of the jokes, but because of something else .

Fans took to X, formally known as Twitter, to air their grievances about the quality of the film's audio. "Let me start out by saying I've been a big fan of the sandman for decades," one wrote, "With that being said, this special was f----g awful."

"The audio was absolute dog s--t. Adam mumbling, everyone else just so loud, including the crowd," the same fan continued, "The sound engineer needs to be fired. All the scripted pieces that are supposed to be candid are tacky and take away from the special."

Another fan added: "I'm a huge fan of him too and thought the way he was doing it was clever, but I ended up stopping it after about 15 minutes for the reason. It was too hard to understand. I'm so glad it wasn't just me."

"I only watched about 10 minutes. It was too hard to understand what he was saying. The format was just bad or something," A third commented.

One fan just flat-out slammed the special, writing: "Can someone please help me understand the new Adam Sandler Netflix special? I want to be in on the joke, but this is unwatchable."

But diehard fans of the Big Daddy star had praise for the comedian's latest special. "If you want to laugh put on Adam Sandler: Love You on Netflix you're welcome," one wrote.

Adam recently appeared this week on the New Heights podcast hosted by brothers Travis and Jason Kelce. The two football players discussed their love of the comedian and Travis' upcoming role in Happy Gilmore 2, which comes out more than 28 years after the original film.
