Love Island USA stars Kaylor and Liv reveal they 'felt pregnant' not being allowed to drink

Love Island USA stars Kaylor Martin and Liv Walker revealed they were practically sober throughout the reality dating series as they dished on the lengths they would take to feel a buzz.

During season six of Love Island USA, Liv joked she felt like "she was pregnant" as the show strictly forbids contestants from becoming intoxicated on-screen. On the Peacock series all islanders are granted one drink per night and that drink can only be wine, prosecco, or beer. And sometimes on rare occasions islanders would be given a second drink if they were sent on a special date.

As the two blonde beauties teased their new mystery project Blonde Moments together, they dished on their experience and the difficult drinking restriction. In an interview with People , Liv joked that she and Kaylor often say that they're "drunk every day" since exiting the villa.

Liv explained: "But if we have a little drink, we wouldn't drink in the villa. I felt like I was pregnant." When asked if the duo were allowed to drink on the show, Kaylor quickly responded "no" to which Liv clarified: "Okay, they gave you a drop. They're like 'Here's this for the night.' I'm like 'This?' I'd drink it in one go."

Liv then went on to share their secret method to feeling more drunk on the show. She told the news outlet: "We would literally shell our drinks, and do three spins. We'd do three spins so we'd get tipsy, but were just dizzy. But like whoa. They'd be like, 'stop spinning.' We'd be like 'no, spin, spin, spin.'"

She joked that despite their best efforts to feel "more drunk" they never felt anything more than a minor buzz. The 22-year-old added: "I told her [Kaylor] she had to hold me upside down so I'd get more drunk, but it didn't work."

This might come as a surprise to viewers as many couldn't image making out with strangers let alone performing the infamous heart-rate challenge without some liquid courage. And while Love Island holds these firm rules for their contestants, other reality shows have much more lenient guidelines for drinking. For example, The Bachelor contestants are only asked to limit themselves to two drinks per hour, which many reality stars would take full advantage of buy throwing back and drink and a shot within minutes of the hour change.
