Authorities have collected bones from the famous landmark in Brooklyn Bridge Park for the third time in one month; this time, they found human remains along the park's beach .

At around 7 p.m. on Saturday, New York City police responded to a 911 report regarding bone parts found along the coastline of 10 Dock Street. Footage shows the policemen are seen looking through rocks by the water's edge across from the well-known Jane's Carousel, which was constructed in 1922 and given to the park in 2011 after years of renovation.

The woman who found the bones claimed that she had been purposefully searching the area after hearing the previous week about the discovery of other remains in the same location.

"I'm thinking how do bones happen to be by a carousel? So I'm looking at the rocks around the carousel and lo and behold," Brooklyn resident Huntly Cooper told WABC .

Cooper reported finding the tip of a vertebrae. A femur and minor bones were discovered by one of the bystanders near the carousel, while patrol officers discovered a skull and other pieces nearby. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has been alerted and will take action.

Along the same shoreline, on August 19, a city Parks Department enforcement officer discovered a skull and some bones. Members of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are seen in photos taken at the scene bagging the remains on the rocky shore.

A 911 call was answered by police near Empire Fulton Ferry State Park on the East River's bank. The police were contacted by a Parks Enforcement Officer who noticed what seemed to be a human skull.

More people could be seen searching through the rocks for further remains with cadaver dogs, along with police officers from the New York Police Department.

A woman claimed to have witnessed the crews handling a femur, hip bone, and skull to News 12 Brooklyn. On August 21, a femur and a few other smaller bones were found in the same location a few days later. The local news channel was informed by the police that the two sets of bones discovered prior to Saturday belonged to the same person.
