A medical team was called to the Burning Man Festival after a woman was seen falling from a climbable piece of art .

The scary incident happened shortly before 6am on Saturday, August 31, in Black Rock City in Nevada. Witnesses watched as a medical team assisted the woman, who had luckily been found conscious.

The festival-goer had fallen and was seen lying beneath the crow’s nest feature of an art piece depicting a ship sinking into the desert. The sculpture was around 40 feet high. She was conscious following the fall, but not moving much, according to witnesses.

Medics put the woman into an ambulance before driving off. She is yet to be identified. The Mirror US has approached the festival for comment.

An unidentified man told SFGATE he had worked on the piece of art. He said the woman is the first person to fall from the sculpture.

Festival-goers can reach the top of the artwork by using wooden slats which are suspended from slanting steel cables, and can slide down a leaning pole in the center. The piece, titled Naga & the Captainess, is one of the prized sculptures at this year's festival.

The sculpture shows a sinking ship and also features a sea serpent and interactive treasure chests. Naga & the Captainess was put together with the help of more than 150 volunteers.

The woman's fall isn't the only tragedy to have happened at Burning Man this year. A 39-year-old woman, identified as Kendra Frazer, was found dead on the first day of the festival.

Emergency services were unable to revive her and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Kendra's cause of death is yet to be confirmed, but foul play is not expected.

The Pershing County Sheriff's Office has said Kendra's death is under investigation until a cause of death can be determined in an autopsy. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the decedent," Jerry Allen with the Pershing County Sheriff said in a statement. "This is the first reported death on the playa this year and unfortunately it has happened on day one."
